I am absolutely heartbroken over the treatment my grandmother received at Abbey Delray. Summary: They gave up her bed to someone else, forcing her to sleep in the emergency room waiting area. Unacceptable. (This is in regards to their Rehabilitation - North facility)

I do want to start by saying that my grandmother's nurse was very sweet, and her social worker tried to help (but it was impossible to get ahold of absolutely anyone on the staff)...

When my grandmother left Abbey for chest pain to visit the hospital, I was told that the nurse made it very clear she would be back in a few hours. When transportation took her back to Abbey, THEY TURNED HER AWAY. Her bed was taken. Abbey was at full capacity. Mt grandmother couldn't even collect her things, which were still in her room. Transportation had to take her back to the hospital where my 88yo grandmother with two broken arms and bruises all over, hardly wheelchair bound, had to sleep in the emergency room waiting room. That's UNACCEPTABLE.

I have no idea how this miscommunication happened within Abbey, but when I tried to get answers, I left a voicemail on almost every extension I could get ahold of (at least 8 different Abbey #s) from 6:30-8:30pm one night, and only received ONE callback the following day... at 4:00pm. NOBODY ANSWERS THE DAMN PHONE!!!

I'm disgusted with how they dismissed and dodged me throughout this process, and truly sad that my grandmother had to go through this. She was traumatized. Luckily I found a new rehab for her and hope this experience treats her better.

DONT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HER IF YOU WANT GOOD FOR THEM!!! This place truly is frightening. I do not know where to begin, the food is horrible the staff is depressing and has horrible attitude I truly cannot comprehend how this place continues to be in business due to the horrible treatment they have with their patients and even employees I can completely understand how they are in business due to the outrageous bills for everything, if you are hungry and would like to eat and want them to bring it to you they charge you every time for the slob they leave hanging on the residents door. This place is a horror house and needs be shut down immediately. Abey Delray is not a place to go, or send your loved ones too if you want good for yourself or those you love it’s a place with evil intentions. I whole heartedly believe this place will be investigated and shut down one day for good. DONT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HER IF YOU WANT GOOD FOR THEM!!!

I would never ever, ever recommend anyone to send their loved one to the Abbey nursing and rehab!!!!! I wouldn’t even give Abby a one star, this was the lowest option available.

My father was to go here for one week, exercise then go home.

They only exercised him on the very last day!

They had him in a room where the AC did not work during the Hot Florida Summer 100 Degree Heat. We would complain, people would come in and pretend to fix it. The AC never worked!!

My dad had a very high fever 104! In this room with no AC during the hot heat of the Florida Summer!! I called his doctor and was told to call an ambulance to get him to the hospital asap. (Do to a UTI which he got at Abbey!)
The head nurse said dad’s doctor had no jurisdiction at Abbey and wasn’t going to let my dad go to the hospital!! Well heck with that, off dad went in an ambulance to the hospital. They were going to hold my dad prisoner in that hot room until he died!!!

I had to chase down the nurse to get Tylenol for dad. No one was not checking dad’s vitals. It was difficult to get anything we asked for.

The head nurse told me to let my father die, that he had cancer throughout his whole body! NO HE DID NOT

The head nurse didn’t know anything!!

My father is alive and well three years later. Driving going on multiple cruises enjoying life and my mother. Yay!!

This was of no help from Abbey!!! Do not send your loved one here

I would always hear a woman calling for help, no one went in to help, my heart broke for her.

My mom has been at Abbey Delray’s rehab community. The staff from reception to Social worker to nursing staff are all wonderful. The therapists have been doing a fabulous job to try & rehab my mom. The kitchen staff have kept my mom well feed & healthy. The nurses are patient, hard working, caring & very kind. I would recommend Abbey Delray to everyone.

Shout out to Abbey Delray North Health Center for taking excellent care of my mom from hip surgery! Nursing gave quality care but the staff and head of the therapy department went beyond our expectations. She returned our calls and reassured us on the type of therapy my mom received. I would call the health center to get updates, but NO ONE ever returned our calls except for I think her name is Dena, in the therapy dept. I would leave a message and by the end of the day our calls were answered, giving us piece of mind! Very clean facility as well and I would definitely recommend Abbey Delray North to our friends.

My father used Abbey Delray when he needed to rehab after getting out of the hospital. The staff was fantastic. From Debbie in admission, to Donna the social worker, everyone was great. They made sure my father got the best care possible and that it was easy for me and my family. Keep up the good work!

5-STAR high quality customer service provided by Shana Wendell, Sales Counselor. After completing a request for information online, she was responsive, knowledgeable & patient allowing us to make a quick assessment after our onsite tour. Our parents love the assisted living options including private apartment, healthy yet tasty meals in the dining hall, on demand medical/housekeeping assistance & quiet comfortable luxury setting. My sister and I have peace of mind, comfort and flexibility knowing they are SAFE and receiving QUALITY CARE from a caring team. Check them out as you won’t be disappointed. Also, seeing that they have live there over 6 weeks, the responsiveness continues. Thank you Shana!! We are forever grateful to everyone who helped us in our time of need and major change in their lives.

We recently moved our great aunt into the Abbey Delray and we couldn’t be happier. We had come from out of town and had to find a space and move her in a matter of days. Shana Wenzell at the Abbey made that all happen. We toured the facility on a Monday and she was moved in by Wednesday. Shana and the staff went out of their way to help. My aunt is happier and appears to be healthier than she’s been in years since moving in. They have continued to follow up with us and have taken excellent care of her.
