We got the fried shrimp platter that was delicately fried, nice pieces of shrimp and not oily like some places. The chicken wings were fried the same and very meaty. Some wings look like they’ve been found in a dumpster. Not these! The yams made me feel like I was having Thanksgiving in September. The Mac and cheese was lighter than most. Not overly cheesy which actually worked out because sometimes it takes over the meal. The hush puppies were slightly sweet with bits of corn inside. The coleslaw was the absolute best I’ve ever had. The collards were a bit salty yet tender. I’d definitely come back!

I ordered here for the first time. Very excited to have soul food close by where I live. However, they short me 1 order of candied yams. I called and they stated they have to check the cameras, which is fine. Waiting on that call back though. Besides that, I ordered 3 orders, 1 order of fried fish platters and 2 orders of shrimp platters. The shrimp was good. The fish could use more seasoning and the collard greens. The Mac n cheese was awful! Barely any cheese, not seasoned at all. This isn't southern food, soul food, etc. I am curious who is cooking and who came up with these recipes? The food can be much better. Waiting on my call.

New soul food restaurant in the area! Please give C & E Southern Bites a visit! The fried fish and chicken are perfectly cooked and the owner (Mr. Evans) is extremely pleasant and welcoming.

I hate to give negative reviews however I have to be honest I just moved to the area from Maryland and I’m from Baltimore so I know what soul food should taste like and this was not it. I did an online pick up because it seems to have had pretty positive reviews. I order the cat fish platter with 2 sides. I got the Mac & Cheese and Yams the Mac & Cheese texture was good however it had absolutely no flavor or taste at all! The Yams were dry like the gave some out of yesterdays pan. The fish was not bad but the were the smallest pieces of cat fish I have ever received from a dinner spot. Don’t think I will going back there I feel like I wasted my money. I don’t get how an establishment can put food out with no taste or flavor. It’s like is the cook tasting the food while they’re actually preparing it.

They understand the assignment!!! My husband and I were visiting the area with our kids, and we googled food. This place popped up, and when I tell you, it was worth the stop. The customer service was amazing and they are very friendly. The menu has so many options, but we came to try the whiting fish sandwich and mac and cheese, and we ended up getting the whiting platter and rib platter to be able to try all their sides, and we tried every side, The portions are just right. We were satisfied with everything. The ribs are definitely a must and collard greens and fried okra

Great food...Great people...Try it out!!!

The fried whiting, wings, and shrimp were nicely fried and seasoned. We also had the greens, yams, fries, and macaroni. The sides were good too. The family and I will definitely order here again.

Stop there for the first time and the food was amazing. I met the owner. He was extremely nice and his son checked this out who was extremely nice the shrimp, the cornbread, the fries, the homemade coleslaw we will definitely be back.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and was highly impressed. We ordered fried fish, mac & cheese, yams, and greens. The presentation of the food was impressive and everything was delicious!!! Waiter was friendly and explained the menu. I will definitely be back as the food was worth every penny. ?
