The event planning skill of KCBS is pretty bad. Was at an event where the awards ceremony was held HOURS after the checkout time. So there were people who weren't affiliated with the event waiting for hours for the campsites being occupied by the event attendees. This made for very awkward interactions and frustration on both sides because the campground was essentially at double capacity.

I am a lifetime member and judge so I stopped by to check out the new offices and Wall of Flame on a Friday afternoon and everyone was so friendly. It was awesome to see the space and I love that it was setup for photo opportunities. My flame was there but not on the wall yet but it was still great to see. Kim & Carolyn made me feel like a much bigger deal than I am and I can’t thank them both enough for the hospitality they showed me. If there is any doubt BBQ folks are the best people! If you are a KCBS member and in town this is a definite stop!

KCBS event organizer tells contestants at a Sam’s Club National BBQ Competition in Daphne, Ala., sponsored by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, to take down their American flags. This ass of an "organizer" told the contestants that there was a town ordinance forbidding the displays of "banners" and that included the American Flag. It was later determined that this "organizer" lied. There is NO such ordinance. This idiot from KCBS should be thrown on the grill and covered with KCBS stupid sauce. How about an apology KCBS? Myself and others will not attend any future events sponsored by your STUPID organization!!!
