The West Side Tennis Club - Forest Hills, New York

I like the place. I came for an event here and the staff was very courteous and friendly. It's a small cozy place. They have a parking lot use it. You have to call the desk and inform them in order to enter. Do not park on the street. You will be booted and the fee is $180. This is a private area you must have a pass to park street side. They do have handicap lift on the left side of stairs call desk to allow access on and off. Very convenient to get to by transit the E and F train to Forest Hills less than 3 blocks away or the Long Island Railroad which is 1 block away.

This is addressed to the GM (Layosh Toth) whose office to the left of the front desk, who talks down to people.

I walked in there today as a person whose born and raised in Forest Hills and now living in California. I just wanted a souvenir t-shirt and was told I had to be member to buy a shirt. My country club in California with a $25k annual membership fee doesn't tell visitors who are not members they cant buy something at our pro shop.

I understand the business model of club membership and dues, but you also have to be open, and understand the difference between someone walking in to play versus buying a t-shirt.

Have been a member for many years - cannot say enough good things about this Club and the people who work there - especially Nancy and Anna - it is always a pleasure to go there and enjoy the ambiance of the Club and the great food!

My family and I have been
members of this club for 32 years and we used to love the facilities and camaraderie. Now, this club is basically the stadium parking lot. We sit by the pool unable to relax because of blasting music. We’re forced to walk in the streets because kids are camping out on the sidewalks starting at 6am (with zero crowd control). Roaches and rats are everywhere as a result of the massive amounts of garbage generated by each concert.

This will be our last summer at the club. It was a good run but no longer worth the time of money.

My husband wanted to join club for Tennis, and he also wanted our kid to take tennis lesson here. He called for lesson detail, and responed that we could attend open house. Unfotunately, a lady was RUDE to answer his phone, and kept saying to fill out forms and pay it!!! She also said many time that I did not understand. I am wondering why you answered the phone if you did not understand. Our family cannot trust this unprofessional business!!! This is totally BAD EXPERIENCE!!!
